When does a landlord need an EPC?
A valid EPC is generally required before a rental property is advertised. For an existing tenancy, expiry does not by itself mean the tenant must leave, but a current certificate is needed before re-letting or renewing where the rules require it.
What if the EPC has expired?
A new assessment produces a new certificate and expiry date. The checker above confirms the register status first, then presents booking only when it is proportionate.
What rating does a rental property need?
