Do I already have a valid EPC?
Many properties already have a certificate that can be used for a sale or letting. We check the register before showing booking options, so you can avoid paying for an assessment you do not need.
How long is an EPC valid?
A domestic EPC is normally valid for 10 years from its issue date. A new assessment may still be useful after improvements if you want the official record to show a better rating.
How much does an EPC cost?
Prices vary by property size, complexity, location and assessor availability. Read our EPC cost guide before comparing booking options.
When do I need an EPC?
You generally need a valid EPC when marketing a home for sale or rent. You do not normally need to renew one simply because it has expired while you continue living in the property.
